WHAT IS DAYLIGHTING?
Daylighting is the art and science of bringing outside light inside.
With the increased visibility of the term "daylighting" in our environmental lexicon you could claim it was the newest and hottest topic in green building. Only the latter would be true - daylighting certainly is a hot topic - but it's been around since someone carved a hole out of a solid wall to invite in the sun.
All buildings receive some amount of daylight, however, the term 'daylit' refers to buildings specifically designed or retrofitted to efficiently capture and distribute daylight as their primary lighting source. Up until now, that has been a very passive technique. Today, Ciralight has the innovative technology to bring daylight into a building in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
